Open-channel hydraulics, Fluid Mechanics

Research topics:

Overbank flows in compound open-channel; varied flows; shallow shear flows; mixing layers; vegetated flows; flows with macro-roughness elements; urban flood processes

Fields of competence:

Laboratory experiments (flumes / small-scale models) 

Numerical modeling: 1D, 2D and 1D1/2: development of a new methodology called « ISM » (Independent Sub-sections Method), based on 4 coupled 1D ordinary differential equations.
