Irstea, the National Research Institute of Science and Technology for Environment and Agriculture, is Public Scientific and Technical Research Establishment (EPST). Irstea consits of 9 sites in France.
The Irstea Antony Center is one of 9 Irstea centers in metropolitan France. The center’s research teams are skilled in the fields of inland waters and wastewater, waste management, refrigeration engineering, the cold chain.
The Clermont-Ferrand Centre has the advantage of working from two locations: Aubière, on the university campus and Montoldre, which deals with academic results and realities on the ground.
The Irstea (National Institute for Environmental Science and Research) Grenoble Centre conducts research and develops expertise to improve the knowledge and management of mountain ecosystems, territories and natural hazards.
The research and public policy support activities at Lyon and Strasbourg concern the field of water.
The Montpellier Centre forms partnerships with all those involved in research and higher education in the region.
Based in the forest in the Domaine des Barres, the Nogent-sur-Vernisson Centre is located in immediate proximity to the National Forest Inventory, the Chesnoy School of Agriculture and the National Arboretum in Barres.
